What is a Blue Net account and how do I set it up?
A Blue Net account is a username and password that you use to log into on-campus computers, WebCentral-Banner Web, Blackboard Learn, and many other university websites. Follow this link to set yours up.
How do I register for classes?
Registering for classes is an essential task for students to learn. Follow this link for a tutorial. Make sure you sign up for classes early because they fill up quick!
How do I pay my bill online?

How do I transfer my credits to CCSU?
Make sure you get credit for all the classes you have taken! Follow this link.
How do I run a degree evaluation?
A degree evaluation allows you to see what classes you have taken, what grades you have gotten, and allows you to judge what classes you still need to take. Paying attention to this is key to picking the right courses. Follow this link for a tutorial.
How do I find out who my advisor is?
You definitely need to know your advisor! They are the people who know your major best and should help you pick the courses you need to graduate. To find your advisor click on the WebCentral-Banner on this page. Then login with your Bluenet account username and password. Click on the "Student" tab and then "View Student Information". You should find the name of your advisor next to "Primary Advisor".
What do I do if my advisor goes on sabbatical?
No worries! If your advisor is on sabbatical a new advisor will temporarily be assigned to you. An email from your department should announce the new advisor. Contact your department if you haven't gotten any information about a replacement advisor.
Can I change my advisor?
Of course. Having an advisor who works well with you is cruical to your success at Central. If you are having issues with your advisor or have found a different faculty member who you would like to work with, fill out this form. You need to have it signed by the Chair of your department and the faculty advisor you would like to switch to. Then hand it into the Office of the Registrar, which can be found in Willard-DiLoreto Hall, Room D 202.
How many credits do I need to graduate?
You must complete 120. Transfer students, note that you need to have taken at least 30 credits at Central to graduate (15 for your major and 9 for your minor).
When do I apply and how do I apply for graduation?
You should apply to graduate about a year before you plan on graduating. You can find the application here.
How do I change my major?
Finding a major that is correct for you is crucial. Follow this link for a change of major form. Follow this link to find all the majors available in the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences.
Do I need a minor?
Whether or not you need a minor depends on what your major is. Most majors in the Liberal Arts and Social Sciences require minors, with the exception of a few (Graphic Information Design, Tourism and Hospitality, and International Studies, for example). A minor is a secondary area of focus, and is usually about 18 credits. You can see a list of the minors available at CCSU at this link, and some helpful tips for choosing a minor. You declare a minor with the same form as declaring or changing a major, which you can find here.
When do I apply to the education program?
Students interested the Education programs are strongly encouraged, and required, to speak with an advisor in that department. The Advising Center is located in Barnard 229, and their phone number is (860)-832-2370. More helpful information can be found on the website of the School of Education and Professional Studies.
What are some general education classes I can take?

How do I get involved on campus?
There are tons of ways to get involved. To find out which clubs and organizations are right for you, visit this link. You can also go to any of our on-campus events. The master calender for all of CCSU's events, visit this link. Talking to other students in class and going to professor's office hours will also keep you informed on what is going on on-campus and help you create a great support network. Don't forget to check our
event page to find opportunities that we are hosting on campus!
How do I get an on-campus job?

Make sure you check your emails. Sometimes departments that need student workers will email students for applications.
