Hi! My name is Ashley Carter. I am a sophomore double majoring in Psychology and Math with a concentration in Statistics. I am also the treasurer of the Psychology Club! I live on campus with my dog, Bubbies. In the future, I want to be a clinical psychology researcher. Right now, I am doing research with Dr. Fallahi. One thing I love about CCSU is the ability to connect 1-on-1 with professors and admin.
Tip: One piece of advice I would give is to join clubs in your areas of interest because most clubs provide you with many resources and opportunities that any student can utilize to better their personal, academic, and professional career!
Hello! My name is Haneen and I am from Baghdad, Iraq. My family moved to the United States when I was 6 years old in hopes of a better future. I’m happy to be a part of a diverse community here at Central and it’s lovely to see myself represented as I walk around campus. Some of my hobbies include photography, writing poetry, and volunteering. I also enjoy exploring new cuisines so if you have any recommendations, send them my way :)
My favorite quote is by Chuck Palahniuk who is an American freelance journalist and it goes something like this, “The goal isn’t to live forever but it’s to create something that will.”
My best piece of advice is to do what you love and to not surround yourself with people that hold you back.

Hello, my name is Carla! I am a senior majoring in Graphic Design. An interesting fact about me is that I am an international student from Spain. I came to the United States on a basketball scholarship. I played on CCSU's women's basketball team. My favorite food is paella, which is a typical Spanish dish.
Tips: Start your day with a smile, check your email every week, and make a weekly planner. If you need anything from your professors, talk to them or email them if you are shy (they will not bite you)!
